“From the secrets of the hive to culinary adventures”
On October 13, 2025, the Kislépték Association held the project’s closing conference at the Hermann Otto Institute.
Beekeeping has long been a stable part of rural economies and culture, yet there is a growing demand for consumers to better understand and experience everything that happens around the hive. Interest in honey is growing not only because of health consciousness: many people want to discover the rich world of flavors and aromas of different types of honey, as well as how beekeeping is connected to gastronomy and the world of experiences.
The conference experts emphasized that the future lies not in new products or revolutionary trends, but in strengthening experience-based connections. Tastings, experience hives, demonstration programs, apitherapy spaces—these are all opportunities that help bring visitors closer to the origins of honey and the work of beekeepers.
