BeeSources di Raffaele Dall’Olio
I am Raffaele Dall’Olio, 47, from Italy.
Animal/Molecular Biologist, always engaged with animals’ reproductive system.. from sweet water fishes, to frogs, working on honey bees for 20 years: 13 years as non permanent researcher for the National Institute of Beekeeping (now CREA) in Bologna, working as free-lance in the last 8 years (my own BeeSources company). Still involved in research (COLOSS, EurBeSt, BGOOD, BeeGuards, Enforce), currently representing Italy as beekeeping advisor (B-TheNET), doing several education courses, lectures, practical trainings and consultancies for stakeholders of the beekeeping community (beekeepers, beekeepers’ associations, companies, NGOs et al), from sideliners to large scale, operating at international level. Also, beekeeping myself since 15 years, with a few past experiences in professional beekeeping companies (Italy 600 hives, New Zealand 9000 hives, US 16000 hives, New Zealand 18000 hives) now managing about 100 hives, mostly for research purposes and to keep alive my original passion on animals’ reproductive system through queen rearing and breeding.
