The Cluster honey (Fürtös méz) brand and company was founded by Nikolett Hierholcz with her sister Andrea Szűcs in the early 2010s. Andrea took care of the bees, and Niki was responsible for sales, marketing, and quality control. Starting a beekeeping career and business was not easy for the two young women. Greenhill Garden and Apiary in Hosszúhetény

If someone wants to experience how many creative ideas can be realised in an apiary, they should visit Hosszúhetény, at the bottom of Triple mountain, the garden and apiary called Green Hill. The owners are Mihály Tiber, a retired engineer and carpenter, and his wife, Csilla Tiberné Pap, is a kindergarten teacher. They have 35 years of beekeeping behind them. Mihály is skilled in metal and woodworking, toy and furniture making, and Csilla, as a developmental kindergarten teacher, is skilled in folk crafts: weaving, felting, making folk toys and stuffed dolls.

The aim of the Honeycomb project is to promote cooperation between local operators in order to sell products through short supply chains, created by beekeepers and beekeeping associations. The project will provide an opportunity to promote local honey and beekeeping products and to bring premium quality local products to local consumers in the shortest possible way. Sales will be made at the producers’ premises, as well as via home delivery within a 50 km radius, in local shops and through an online webshop.
